John Walden Myer memorial book

The design challenge was creating a memorial book from a varied archive of photos, letters, articles and other documents. Navy helped the differently toned source material feel as though it belonged in one refined book.

I sourced imagery meaningful to the archive itself: handwriting, genealogy material and a Manhattan map. Enlarged and screened back into the dark background, these elements became subtle graphic dividers.
