I worked with two primary clients to shape a large amount of content and ideas into a practical, producible recipe book. Original recipe cards and family photographs were brought together in a book gifted to the extended family, designed to be used and passed on. The initial concept would have resulted in a cumbersome 232-page book that was cost-prohibitive to produce in bulk. Restructuring the content, carefully typesetting selected recipes and reworking the format of the note sections reduced the final book to 94 pages while preserving the material the family wanted to include.

“Ellen Finnerty did an incredible job helping bring our family cookbook to life. She thoughtfully organized and designed my grandmother’s recipes in a way that feels both beautiful and personal. Her attention to detail, creativity, and care for preserving family memories made the entire process enjoyable. We now have a cookbook that our family will treasure for generations. I highly recommend Ellen to anyone looking to create a meaningful and professionally designed cookbook.”
